Classes XI and XII are categorised as senior secondary education at St. Mary's School. After Class X the school offers three main streams:
- Science — Medical (PCB) and Non-Medical (PCM)
- Commerce — with or without Mathematics
- Humanities / Arts
Admission to Class XI
Admission to Class XI is given on the basis of previous performance of the student. If the candidate is not already a St. Mary's student, there will be a written test. Detailed information can be obtained from the school office.
A more independent learner
Class XI marks a shift — students begin to be treated as young adults preparing for university. The pedagogy is interactive and facilitative; classroom learning is paired with Project Based Learning, Field Visits, Debates, Declamations, Symposiums, Panel Discussions and Guest Lectures.
