In an attempt to groom students in all aspects of life, the school has introduced various clubs to participate in and voice thoughts. Time-to-time meetings and activities are held under these clubs, and each student enrolls in at least two.

The school has been divided into four houses:

Each House is under the supervision of a House Mistress and has its own Prefect and House captains (Boys & Girls) who are responsible for the maintenance of discipline in the House and largely in school. Various inter-house competitions are intermingled in day to day activities as per the school calendar.

Each child can participate in one individual and two group activities during an academic session.

There is a proverb that goes, "I hear and I forget; I see and I remember; I do and I comprehend" and it refers to the idea that seeing something being done at a certain location helps students remember it better. Excursions are an important part of school education. Travelling expands horizons and school life is incomplete without the fun of educational Tours and Excursions. St Mary's discreetly organises educational trips to strategically and historically important places and facilitates for students to reach out for information beyond the textbooks. These trips give exciting educational experience which is deeper than the regular School environment affords. Every year, excursions are meticulously planned to add fun and enthusiasm which give the students and an opportunity to have a break from their hectic daily schedule.

Art and music are integral to find a child prodigy. The essence of art education involves active collaborative learning, music, singing, acting, creative art, dance and other art forms which allow students to grow actively, explore innovative thoughts and capabilities with their classmates.

Such activities encourage students to explore how to build a similar image, what resources they may acquire and how to use their skills. Art and music are believed to stimulate the creative part of the brain and help shape a person's growth.

St. Mary's offers opportunities for a vast range of sports through world-class facilities — a beautifully maintained field for football, cricket and hockey; tennis, badminton and basketball courts; an indoor fitness and sports stadium; two multipurpose Sports Halls, two dance studios and a Handball alley.

All sports are supported by excellent coaches, many of whom have represented their state or country. The Physical Education & Sports Department believes that the unique learning opportunities of physical education should allow students to build knowledge, skills, positive attitude and personality.

Well planned and well executed Morning Assemblies can help children identify their talents, set future goals and develop intra-personal intelligence. They serve as a platform for transmitting cultural values and sharing important information about school activities and current events. Along with this, SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES are also an important part of our school education. By participating in these assemblies, each child can develop leadership skills. These assemblies provide opportunities to reinforce and instill values such as respect, empathy and kindness among students. Through different themes, speeches, stories and discussions during assemblies, students are exposed to positive role models and examples that encourage them to embrace these values in their daily lives. Ultimately, these special assemblies are just like a crucial tool for nurturing the best human resources to lead future generations. School ensures maximum participation of the class during these assemblies.

The future of any nation is largely related to the quality of its human beings. It is essential for the development of the youth into confident leaders with requisite character qualities and personal attributes, so that they can take their place as responsible citizens of the country. To achieve this objective, the youth needs to be exposed, besides academics, to such activities which help them in developing their personality and character and in turn making them a good leader.

Days are gone when students used to stick to their school books and notes to achieve high scores with no exposure to the real world outside the books. Today, it has become very important for every student to get involved in extra-curricular activities which help them experience the world they are supposed to live in after completing their education. Hence, it imparts practical knowledge of the outside world to the students through the means of various competitions, making a student confident, practical and self-sufficient. These activities not only work as a stress buster but also help students expand their mental horizons. NCC is one such activity which school students can pursue to add to their learnings and aptitude.

National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS, is an extension of activities to the higher education system to orient the students to community service while they are studying in educational institutions, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. It provides opportunity to the students of classes 11th & 12th to take part in various Government-led community service activities and programmes. The primary objective is developing the personality and character of the student through voluntary community service. "Education Through Service" is the purpose of NSS.

The motto of NSS — "Not Me But You" — reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation for another person's point of view and also shows consideration for other living beings. The philosophy of NSS is well doctrined in this motto, which underlines the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society as a whole.

Students can get some weightage during admissions in higher studies and other benefits as decided by the institution or university.

The annual activity calendar maps out the year-round co-curricular engagements for every class group. From health and heritage celebrations to sports, arts and national observances, each event is designed to complement classroom learning with hands-on experience.
